Internet TV Killed the Cable Star

Dishes, cable,verses..etc..it can all add up to one huge expense every month. On average companies that provides these services are losing customers in record numbers. The TV industry is a slow growth, but it doesn't mean the industry wont get be creative presenting (affordable) packages and offers .Daily I receive flyers in my mailbox promising an "awesome deal" that I cant' possibly live without. Well, for the most part I have.

Alternative (internet) TV has grown immensely and there are more options to choose from for little or no cost. You just gotta know where to look. If you surf the web you can't help but notice the ads or pop-ups  for Hulu; who now can get a up a free year subscription just by telling your friends and getting them to sign up. Then you have Yidio. Its another internet TV provider which allows you to sign in into your Hulu & Netflix account to enhance viewing pleasure. I actually found Hulu before my cable was disconnected, then it was just a small handful of shows and HuluPlus hadn't existed yet. So I was excited to say the least. I pretty much used it has my personal DVR. If I missed a show, Hulu had my back!

Paid for TV sure can place blame on a lot of economic factors, such high unemployment, low housing sales, jacked prices in fuel or all around the cost living. With that be said, having options are actually quite the good thing. For instance, billing is better monitored. If you subscribe to both HuluPlus and Netflix  (streaming-no dvd delivery), bills will average about $16 bucks a month. Yidio has free shows as well, but you pay a premium of around $1.99 to $2.99 to view your favorite programs and/or movies on other sources, such as i-tunes, Amazon  and vudu. More importantly, there is no obligation. Call your provider and see if you can skip a few months....I seriously doubt it. The savings add up. After paying taxes, cable box, dish rentals, and line fees your pockets are forced to shell out over $100 a month or more depending on the package. Online TV offers a solution to TV addicts such as my self, while saving a bundle. Not to mention you can take it with you; smartphones, labtops, tablets, and gaming consoles.

Internet TV is a trend and its catchy. I mean look at youtube. they took the game and ran with it.
Sure, its platform for being noticed, or capturing idiots making a fool of themselves, but nonetheless its entertaining and FREE!

P.S....there is also Crackle too. Try it now & get 2 weeks free!  http://hulu.com/r/Bcm3SAt
